Situated in the South End, Dennison Memorial Community Center has been in existence for nearly 150 years. All youth ages 6-16 who live in the south end of New Bedford are eligible for membership at Dennison free of charge. Through our programs and individualized services, our staff aim to promote solid values and self-esteem, while providing each child with the tools to develop and grow into a responsible adult.

We strive to improve the educational attainment and personal development of at-risk youth and families by providing education, recreation and intervention services in a safe environment.​

ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Structured tutoring and homework assistance. Computer resource labs with grade-specific support. Career and college
awareness.
ATHLETICS AND RECREATION
Basketball organized leagues. Recreational sports activities. Health, Fitness & Nutrition programs.
CREATIVE ARTS
Crafting and sewing. Music and dance. Painting. Model Boat Building.
DAY CARE

TEEN PROGRAMS
Teen Nights offering extended hours for our older youth to socialize. Career exposure and college planning support. Peer
leadership opportunities.
SUMMER PROGRAMS
Educational and recreational field trips. Art Mobile. Special events. Free summer lunch program. Water activities.
Academic support.

PACE vouchers are accepted.
Transportation is available only to children in the daycare program.
